Although I missed the second session of week 6, I still had the opportunity to explore the assignment’s themes in my own way. My focus was on the dynamic movement of 3D shapes and their interaction with users through clicks or other triggers. This interactive approach brought a new level of realism to the conveyance of emotions through shapes and colours, making them more relatable and easier to visualize.
What intrigued me most was the potential of 3D shapes in not only representing emotions but also in exploring complex concepts like the unreality of certain colours. For instance, using 3D shapes in a virtual environment could be an effective way to convey the idea that magenta, or violet, doesn’t truly exist in the physical world. The virtual space itself, being an ‘unreal’ environment, aligns perfectly with this concept, allowing for a more impactful and immersive exploration of the idea.
In essence, the combination of 3D shapes and user interaction opens up new possibilities for emotional expression and conceptual exploration in digital media. This approach not only enhances the visual experience but also offers a more intuitive and engaging way to communicate complex ideas, making abstract concepts more accessible to a broader audience.
